Bat Night

  • Indigenous Creatives Collective 9674 51st Avenue South Seattle, WA, 98118 United States (map)

We will be exploring the land as we try to spot and collect data on local bats during a guided observation. Bats Northwest will help us to learn about the vital ecological roles bats play and the work they do to help them stick around.

Did you know that bats hold significant and diverse symbolic meanings in Indigenous cultures worldwide, often associated with the night, intuition, and the spiritual realm? Some people may think bats are scary, but they are actually pretty cute and very much harmless. Plus, they eat up all the mosquitoes!
