    SOLD OUT — JOIN WAITLIST

We are planting 1,400 plants in ONE DAY! Yes, you read that right—1,400!

Help us plant on the land using the Miyawaki method. These pocket forests have been shown to build biodiversity, climate resilience, and wellbeing in communities.

We’re teaming up with Natural UrbanForests, guided by Ethan Bryson, to restore the slope next to our (soon-to-be-restored) greenhouse, along with help from Northern Paiute councilwoman Cora Phoenix-Price and Travis Andy (Yakama).

Our guest speaker will be Joell Jones, who is a traditional gatherer from the Yakama Nation and a Native Environmental Science student at Northwest Indian College. Our arts activity for the day will be botanical printing with Eileen Jimenez!

We will provide all the tools needed to participate, along with a catered lunch by Tuesday Talaga!

**This project is funded in part by a Food Equity Fund award from the City of Seattle’s Department of Neighborhoods, the Earth Rising Foundation, King Conservation District, King County Flood Control District, Seattle Foundation, City of Seattle Office of Sustainability and Environment, and Seattle Peoples Fund.

Hands on the Land

Hands on the Land is our biannual paid land workday. During these collaborative events, we gather to complete large projects on the land while learning about planting techniques and enjoying some fun activities in between. Exhibitions + Installations

Indigenous Creatives Collective collaborates with PNW-based arts spaces to host art exhibits featuring artists from our Indigenous Creatives Roster as well as those in our community network. Our annual CSMOFA (Coast Salish Museum of Fine Arts) exhibition is held at the Thurston County Museum of Fine Arts in Olympia, Washington, every fall. Here on the land, we showcase artists from our Roster through land art installations and rotating displays in the Forest Gallery.
